Darkness to Light
Darkness to Light Classes Available from Madison Cares
Overcoming child sexual abuse requires us to change the rules, systems, and structures surrounding children so that the potential of every child can be realized. When prevention is a priority, only then can we eliminate child sexual abuse.
Stewards of Children’s Darkness to Light Training is the only nationally available program scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child-protective behaviors. This program combines CSA facts and prevention information with personal commentary from survivors, experts, and concerned adults to create a comprehensive, positive approach to prevention training.
D2L has affiliates in all 50 U.S. states and 16 international locations. Nearly one million adults worldwide have completed D2L’s Stewards of Children training, an award-winning program that helps adults prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
At Madison Cares our own, Deicy Beltran, is a certified Darkness to Light facilitator and is now holding classes. Classes are 2 hours long and are located at the Madison Education Center (60 West Main, Rexburg).
