Madison Hires Boy's Basketball Head Coach to replace Hawkins

Madison Hires Boy's Basketball Head Coach to replace Hawkins.
The hiring committee, which was lead by a board of trustees member and made up of four people from MSD and four people from the community, has spent the last week interviewing five candidates for the head coaching position at MHS.
We are excited to announce they have selected the candidate Travis Schwab for this position.
Schwab has been with MSD for 12 years and is currently the Director of Special Services and Federal Programs, which he has done for four years.
In addition to all of his time working for our district, Schwab has spent 17 years coaching basketball, 12 of those as assistant coach under Coach Hawkins.
"I am incredibly humbled for the opportunity to become the next Head Boy's Basketball Coach at Madison High School. I am so excited to build upon the amazing basketball program that Coach Hawkins has built the past 29 years," Schwab commented.  "I love coaching and I love the young men in our program as well as all of the future Bobcats coming up."
We are excited about this addition to our athletics team. Welcome aboard Coach Schwab! Best of luck to you and all of the future bobcats! #wearemadison
