YOGA

The second session of district yoga will begin Tuesday, January 7th at 4pm and will run for 6 consecutive Tuesdays. This class is for any body and every body!  You don't need to be flexible or in shape, just willing to try.  Attend one class or all six. Additional info:

-Class is from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Madison Middle School gym.

-You'll need a yoga mat, 2 foam yoga blocks (optional), a blanket to sit on or rest your lower back against, appropriate yoga attire (comfortable clothing to move in and stay covered).

The Wellness Yoga class will be taught by BYU-I dance faculty, Wendy Bone. Wendy completed her 500 hour Yoga certification in December 2016 through YogaAlliance, the largest international nonprofit association devoted to promoting the integrity and diversity of the teaching of yoga. For the last year she has helped nearly 20 students receive their 200 hour yoga teacher certification.  She frequently lectures on yoga and dance and their influence on the body's anatomy.  Wendy stresses that this is an introductory yoga class and that a lack of flexibility is not a reason to avoid yoga. In fact, inflexibility is an excellent reason to take a yoga course.

Namaste.
