Thanks to a grant we were able to have Rachael Daniels from Zoo Idaho come to our school last Friday. Our students loved learning about the animals and getting to touch them! Did you know skunks are really soft?

Hello! Does your child enjoy reading or listening to audiobooks? Sora is a free app and resource for audiobooks, ebooks, and read-along books for all students and employees in the district. Sora is a digital library, so you "check out" books for two weeks at a time with an option to renew, or you can put a book on hold if it is "checked out" to someone else. A book with simultaneous checkouts means that an unlimited number of people can check it out at the same time. Artie and the Wolf Moon will be available on Sora for simultaneous use in ebook and audiobook formats between November 2-16th. Checkouts will be simultaneous, which means no holds!

Superintendent Randy Lords is excited to meet with the wonderful families in our District. Hello parents and students! This is a list of dates to keep in mind this week. You should have already received all notices regarding late start/ parent-teacher conferences from your school. If you have not, or you have any further questions, please contact the school Admin Assistant and they will be able to help you out further. If you are not receiving texts/emails, please make sure your information is updated correctly. *Buses will run all morning routes 1 hour and 15 minutes later than normal pick-up time. Middle school students will be picked up from their scheduled bus stop and dropped off directly at the high school for the performance. They will then be shuttled back to the middle school afterward.

Check Lunch Balances!! Today is the end of the grace period for all students who had free/reduced lunches last school year. If you have already filled out a free/reduced form for this school year, you don't need to do anything more than keep track of your students' balances. PLEASE keep them out of the negative! Need to fill out a new application? *Make sure you have the new LINQ connect app (no longer Titan) The Icon is a blue and white LC. Celebrate Youth is tomorrow 2-7pm @ Porter Park. We are going to have so much fun welcoming all our students back to school! Come play games, take your picture at the 360 Photo Booth station, have fun with chalk wars, grab a snow cone/creamies ice cream and so much more! Save the date! The D.A.R.E Car Wash is coming up soon on July 19th, 10 am-7 pm! Come support our community D.A.R.E Program and get your car washed. 100 % of the donations go directly to the Madison County D.A.R.E Program. There will be bike raffles every hour starting at 11 am! Get one raffle ticket for going thru the carwash and more tickets can be purchased from the D.A.R.E. officers. Thank you to NITRO for sponsoring this event.

Hello! Every M-F in June from 11:30 AM to 1 PM the district has a school bus loaded with free books for elementary students (Literacy Bus). It is parked in the back parking lot at the Middle School where students coming for free lunch can access it. The books are for students PreK to 4th grade. They will also have some books in Spanish as well. Each student can choose a new book and a gently used book to keep. They can get a new book each day they return. Our wonderful elementary teachers will rotate in staffing the bus and are excited to see you all! Have a great Summer!
