Ruby from Lincoln Elementary is the grade 4 Western Regional Winner of the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest!! Ruby said she wasn't expecting to win but that she loves things to be neat and that's why she might have won. Her class and teacher were so excited to find out Ruby won. She was interviewed by Local News 8 this morning, and we got to stop by to hear the good news ourselves. Congratulations Ruby! We are proud of you and your wonderful handwriting skills. Marian Hayes (4th grade teacher at Lincoln) who is passionate about handwriting and how it can help students, is Ruby's teacher. Marian said that her class has been doing this competition for 7+ years and has had two students within those years who have made it to State, with Ruby winning Regionals. We are very grateful to have wonderful teachers who help promote life skills like writing, and for having amazing students with all sorts of talents! It's a great day to be a Bobcat!! #wearemadison

Parents, due to the power outage last night at the HS some of the HS classrooms are colder than usual. Please have your students dress warmly. The heat is working and on, but the building is so large that it will take time to get back to normal temperature. Have a great day!
Hi Everyone! The Bobcat Fieldhouse will be shut down and closed next Monday night, March 11th, for a planned power outage by the power company. There will be no power at the Bobcat Fieldhouse or Madison High School. However, the Bobcat Fieldhouse will still be open to the public that morning. Please spread the word! Thanks so much!
Good morning! All schools in Madison School District will be CLOSED today. Drifting snow through the night has caused roads to be unsafe in some areas, and after discussion with the County and City Road and Bridge, the decision has been made to cancel school. Stay warm and safe! Schools will resume tomorrow March 7th.
Check out what these cool Bobcats are up to at the MMS!! The school has a Young Engineering class that is an elective for 5th and 6th graders. Carolyn Broadbent is over the 5th graders and has been working hard to create unique opportunities for the students to learn hands-on! She is so proud of her students and has tons of fun with them! We are so lucky to have wonderful teachers in our District! #wearemadison
