We have a new Director of Food Services!! Jordyn Bybee 😄 She is going to do a fantastic job! Not only is she a hard worker, she's also incredibly kind and a wonderful person. The Lunch Ladies all came out to support Jordyn and celebrate her by having a potluck! They gave her a funny gift that said "Managing Dummies" 😂 and played games. Our food service workers are the best! We are so excited to have her as our new Director of Food Services!! Congratulations Jordyn! 🐾 #wearemadison

Last night at the school board meeting, the Madison School District Board of Trustees approved the 2024/2025 school calendar. We want to thank those on the calendar committee for their hard work and creative input. Hibbard Students got to walk on the red carpet to enter into the new school for their very first time to have a tour and see their new classroom. The new school will officially open on Wednesday morning, January 17. Open house for the parents, families, and community will be Monday, January 22, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00.

We hope families are enjoying the day off from school. It is a blessing to have an extra day to unbox and settle things at the new school. Due to the school closure today, Hibbard will move our Friday schedule to Tuesday, January 16, and then begin at the new school on Wednesday, January 17. That means that on Tuesday, all Hibbard students will come to the old school from 8:00 - 10:45. AM and PM kindergarten will come together and they can ride the bus both ways. We will do our tour to show students their new classroom and how to get to it from the front doors and from the bus doors. That way, everyone will know right where to go at the new school on Wednesday. THANK YOU to all who came to help from the district, from our parents and families, and from the community! In light of the blizzard and winter storm warning, and after visiting with Road and Bridge/ Law Enforcement, all schools will be closed tomorrow Friday, Jan. 12th. As a reminder, Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and there will be no school. We will resume sessions on Tuesday with regularly scheduled classes. Stay safe and warm!!

Hello! Out of an abundance of caution, and due to the forecast changing, we have decided to send students home early today. High School will not be returning to school after lunch (12:15) Middle School and Jr. High will release and go home at 12:45 Elementary schools will release at 1:45 Please continue to drive safe and stay warm!

The Boys Basketball games in Blackfoot are canceled and will be rescheduled.

Remember that Hibbard hours for today, tomorrow, and Friday are going to be 8:00 - 10:45 for all students. AM and PM kindergarten will both come for those same times and can ride the bus both ways. We can use moving help to load and unload all the furniture and remaining boxes on Thursday beginning at 12:00 Noon. For safety reasons, no children please - needs to be teenagers and older. Hibbard Elementary @hibbard_elementary is getting ready to move into their new School Building!! 🎊 We are so excited for these kids to have a wonderful new building to accommodate everything they need! Here is some quick info leading up to the move. 1. Hibbard School Times for next W-F (Jan. 10, 11, & 12) will be from 8:00 - 10:45. AM AND PM Kindergarten will BOTH come at those times with all the rest of the students. Buses will run regular routes at this new release time, but kindergarten students can ride BOTH ways. 2. Teachers will communicate specific classroom needs with their parent volunteers 3. Volunteer help needed 🚨 Thursday, January 11, in the afternoon and evening. If you can, we would love your help! Help needed with moving remaining items from the old school to the new school (desks, tables, chairs) They would love for adults and teenagers to come assist, but due to safety concerns, no younger children please. 4. Dear Parents. The Madison School District Transportation Team has been working diligently to streamline our operations to better serve the district and our students. We plan to eliminate the need for students to transfer buses to get to their destinations by providing direct bus routes where your student will have the same driver both morning and afternoon. We have successfully achieved this goal and had planned to start the new bus routes upon returning from Christmas Break. However, we experienced some unforeseen circumstances with transferring the old route data, and parent information for the app to the new routes. Because of this, we feel it is in our best interest to delay the rollout of the new bus routes until the start of the 2024/2025 school year in August, to avoid creating problems with the parent app, or conflicting route information. Thank you all for your understanding in this matter, as our primary goal is to transport your students safely while providing a user-friendly parent app solution with correct and up-to-date information.
